Easter

March 23, 2008, 10:30am Service

Just prior to the service, the Choir has a last minute rehearsal of the anthem, "Arise to Life this Glad Easter Morning" by GF Handel.

At 10:15am, the Sanctuary is almost full!

Pastor Elizabeth begins the Sermon "Resurrection Eyes" next to the "Dressed Cross."

Photos of the "Dressing of the Cross" are on the Worship page-click here.

The Gathering of the Youth: Ed M. gave  the youth message. He used an uncooked egg and an empty egg shell to demonstrate the disciples shock upon finding Jesus' empty tomb. It was wonderful!

The Dedication of the Baptismal Font

During the service we dedicated the new baptismal font designed and created by Elder Dave S.  The font stand incorporates mahogany purchased but not used in the construction of the sanctuary in 1984, and pine salvaged from a part of the fellowship hall that had to be torn out during the church expansion in 2004.  Chas S, the most recently baptized member of the congregation, unveiled the font.  Dave filled the font with water for the first time.  At Rev. Lyman's invitation, Rev. Ken Cuthbertson offered the dedicatory prayer.

Thank you Dave, it is spectacular!

Pastor gives the Benediction....
Alleluia! This is a day of new beginnings’ This is the day of brightness and hope! For God has done wondrous things for us! Go in joyful peace and know that God’s peace and love go with you always.

Alleluia! Amen.

.... and Claire carries the Light!

Christ is Risen....He is Risen, Indeed!
