Mother's Day Out Childcare Co-op
Since 1989, LPPC has sponsored a a special place for your child to play and meet other children from Placitas, Bernalillo, and Rio Rancho. Mother's Day Out (MDO), a cooperative child-care program is a non-denominational outreach program established at LPPC in Placitas.
The primary mission of the Mother's Day Out program is to provide children with a safe and loving environment in which to learn to play with one another, to share, and to be children.

How does the Co-op work?
MDO provides one full-time care giver, with parents volunteering on a rotating basis approximately once a month so there are always two adults supervising the children.
Each parent is responsible for participating in the ongoing fundraising activities associated with the program. Eventually, Mother's Day Out hopes to add a fully accredited pre-school program.
How old does my child need to be?
Children from 18 months to pre-K are welcome at MDO.
What is the hours of operation?
Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm (Before and after-care hours are an option)
How much does the program cost?
$15 per day
Does the cost include meals?
No, each child is expected to bring their lunch with them. The parent of the day is asked to bring snacks for group that day.
What type of activities do the kids do?
Some activities offered in the mixed age classes include: puzzles, play dough, coloring, games, books, field trips, guest speakers and presentations. The LPPC Church grounds provide a beautiful setting for walks and outdoor play with a secured playground area.
