Mom's Day Out

Childcare Cooperative

We have a special place for your child to play and meet other children from Placitas, Bernalillo, and Rio Rancho.  Mother's Day Out (MDO), a cooperative child-care program is a non-denominational outreach program established in 1989 by LPPC.

The primary mission of the Mother's Day Out program is to provide children with a safe and loving environment in which to learn to play with one another, to share, and to be children.

  • Children from 18 months to pre-K

  • Monday-Friday from 9am - 2:30pm
(Early drop off is an option.)

  • $14 per day

The program provides one full time care giver with parents volunteering on a rotating basis approximately once a month so there are always two adults supervising the children.

Some activities offered in the mixed age classes include: puzzles, play dough, coloring, games, books, field trips, guest speakers and presentations.  The Church grounds provide a beautiful setting for walks and outdoor play.

Each parent is responsible for participating in the ongoing fundraising activities associated with the program.  Eventually, Mother's Day Out hopes to add a fully accredited pre-school program.
