Purpose: The Mission Committee of LPPC functions to connect the local congregation with the purpose of the Church in the world; it provides support to local & foreign mission initiatives. We participate in the Cuba Ministry: with a partnership at Iglesias ‘Resurrection’ SabanillaMontanzas, Cuba, & Cuba Presbyterian Church, Cuba, NM, USA.


Some of the projects we support include:

  • Backpacks for Children/Young Adults in Placitas
  • Cuba Partners Network
  • Dignity Mission
  • Equal Exchange/Just Coffee
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Gift Bags
  • Living Waters for the World
  • Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountain
  • Missionaries: Dori Hjalmarson
  • Rebuilding Together Sandoval County

Second Sunday

Hopefully soon we will have Just Coffee products and Equal Exchange Products from the Mission Committee every Second Sunday of the month in the Fellowship Hall before and after church services.


Fundraising Project

Some of our fundraising projects include selling wine and gift bags made by church members. Our bags are sold at LPPC on the second Sunday of the month.


Offerings

In support of PC(USA) we participate in four offerings a year:

  • One Great Hour of Sharing
  • Pentecost Offering
  • Peace Making Offering
  • Christmas Joy Offering

We also support our brothers and sisters around the world suffering from natural disasters through the following organizations:
