Our church has many, hard-working, all-volunteer committees doing the work of the church. Each committee is led by a Chair which is elected by the members of that committee. All committees report in writing to our Session on a monthly basis. These reports are incorporated into the Session minutes to inform the congregation about their latest activities.
Who are the LPPC Committees?
- Christian Education Committee oversees the education opportunities for adults and children.
- Building Committee is the custodian of the church buildings.
- Deacons are elected by the congregation to serve three-year terms.
- Earth Care Committee oversees church involvement in Earth Care activities and events.
- Fellowship Committee helps maintain our kitchen and oversees many fellowship activities.
- Finance Committee oversees the financial status and activities of the church.
- Grounds Committee maintains the landscaping and exterior grounds of the church and our Memorial Garden.
- Membership Committee oversees internal/external communication regarding church membership.
- Mission and Outreach Committee provides support from the church to local mission initiatives.
- Nominating Committee meets yearly to create the slate for new Elders and Deacons.
- Personnel Committee oversees all the paid employees of the church.
- Stewardship Committee meets once a year to plan and run the Stewardship Campaign.
- Technology Committee supports the church through design/installation, operation, and maintenance of the AV and IT equipment.
- Worship Committee oversees the details of each worship service.
