Normally this beloved seasonal event is held in the candle-lit sanctuary of historic Las Placitas Presbyterian Church in Placitas, NM, and is memorable for the warmth of seasonable fellowship among friends and community, and for the traditional reception featuring hot spiced cider and cookies.
This year, however, we are mindful for the health and safety of both poets and attendees in the era of COVID-19, so the 2020 event took place using Zoom webinar technology.
Rest assured that planners and poets did everything possible to recreate the contemplative, candle-lit atmosphere, close sense of community, and seasonal reverence that we have come to love about this December Solstice Celebration.
