adult education

The mission of the Education Committee is to plan and provide educational offerings and activities to promote spiritual growth in both the adult and youth members of Las Placitas Presbyterian Church. For our children and youth, we provide Sunday school activities during the 10:30 church services, and include the youth in the life of the

congregation and church services (such as the children’s Christmas program and an Earth Day Sunday skit).

LPPC’s children also help with the Dignity Mission by assembling Christmas stockings and Children’s Dignity Kits, and collecting beans and rice for immigrants on the U.S./Mexican border.

Adult Forum:

At times throughout the year, we also offer an “Adult Forum” at 9:30 before the 10:30 worship service. Through readings and facilitated conversations, we examine many interesting and relevant topics. For example, our Lenten series takes a deep dive into

the Lord’s Prayer—an exploration of what we are saying and what we are asking for when we pray this prayer.

Sunday Worship Schedule:

During the school year, LPPC holds two worship services. The first service at 8:30 in the Upper Room is a small and informal group in which participants discuss the readings and scriptures for the day and find ways to interpret and apply these to our everyday

lives. Then at 10:30, we hold the more traditional and formal worship service in our beautiful sanctuary.

During the summer months, we hold only one service at 9:30 in the sanctuary.
