Mission/Description: The mission of the Education Committee is to plan and provide educational offerings and activities to promote spiritual growth in both the adult and youth members of Las Placitas Presbyterian Church. Responsibilities include consulting with the pastor to identify programming and curricula to be presented during Adult Forum, obtaining needed materials and promoting the learning opportunity. In addition, Christian Education consults with parents to assess youth needs, plan meaningful activities and facilitate inclusion of the youth in the life of
the congregation.
Activities and Accomplishments:
- Consult with parents to assess youth needs;
- Schedule and plan Sunday School curricula and activities;
- Plan and organize youth participation in church services (such as the children’s Christmas program and an Earth Day Sunday skit);
- Consult with Pastor to identify programming and curricula to be used for the Adult Forum;
- Schedule and organize Adult Forums
